Youth Safety Day is a community event that the Midnight Sun Council, BSA sponsors along with Spirit of Alaska FCU, the Girl Scouts and Volunteers in Policing and other community agencies.
It will be held in the Regal Cinema Parking Lot on August 20th from 11 am to 3 pm.
There are a few ways that you can help. We do need about five adult volunteers to be there in case the event as a whole needs help and we need Scouts and Scouters who can help showcase Scout specific stuff like a Derby track, a monkey bridge or a Pioneering tower. It can have a safety element or it can be a membership driven activity that shows how fun Scouting can be!
The last way you can help is to use this as an activity for your Scouts and future Scouts. We will be passing out the flyer, shown below, at the August Roundtable for you to use at recruitment events.
