Popcorn Fundraiser
The goal for 2009 is $200,000! Sell lots of popcorn!
Important Dates Sale starts September 14 Filled Up Sheets are due by Monday at 5pm for weekly drawings. The dates are September 21 and 28 and October 5 and 12. We will post the winners by the following Wednesdays. You may fax them to (907) 452-1977.
Filled Up Sheets for the Final Drawing and $10 credit in the Scout Shop are due by October 12 by 5pm.
Unit Orders are due ONLINE at trails-end.com by 5pm on October 12. Make sure everyone understands the day orders are due within the Unit to the Popcorn Kernel!
Scout Buck Order Forms are due by October 12. You may email them to tasmine.bennett@Scouting.org or fax them to (907) 452-1977.
Proof of your Unit Kick-off is due by October 12 in order to receive your $100 credit.
Projected date for popcorn pick-up is October 31.
Money is due no later than 5pm on November 30.

Online Sales
Click here for instructions on how to set up an account for your Scout so he can participate in online sales. When you are asked for a Unit # you need to use the Unit’s 4 digit number from the National Office. The first # is the district #. Use a 1 for Tanana Valley and a 2 for the Bush District. Pack 43 in North Pole would be 1043 while Pack 11 in Delta would be 2011. Call the office if you receive an error message.
Incentives for Youth
Once the Scout sells his first container of popcorn he can bring in his sheet to the office and he will immediately receive his popcorn patch.
Each youth who sells over $80 worth of Popcorn will receive Scout Bucks valued at approximately 5% of the sales level achieved. The Scout Bucks can be redeemed at local stores accepting Scout Bucks. Scout Bucks will be worth double if used at the Earl and Pat Cook Council Service Center to pay for merchandise in the Scout Shop or to pay for a Council or District event like Cub Scout Day Camp, Resident Camps, Family Camp or Camporees. Make sure to turn in the Scout Buck order sheet on October 12! You can email it to tasmine.bennett@Scouting.org or fax it to (907) 452-1977.
Once the Scout fills up his first page he is eligible for a special fill-it-up patch from Trails End. Your Unit Leader will order the patch on your behalf. Every time the Scout fills up an order form he should bring it into the Earl and Pat Cook Council Service Center and he will receive a $10 gift certificate for the Council Scout Store and he will be entered into a drawing to win lots of prizes! We will be drawing for 2 prizes each week and then everyone will be entered into the final drawing for 2 super prizes.
The Council will organize a party for youth who sell at least $1,000 worth of popcorn.
There are also national Trails End prizes available, including a $50 gift card for selling $1500 and 6% of their sales into a scholarship fund, if they sell $2500. Please turn you forms into your Unit Leader. They will bring me the forms so I can submit them to Trails End.
